Guide
Three chauffeured days, three different halves of the island.
These are our three full-day tours by car with a driver. Each one runs eight hours or more, each covers a different direction out of the usual hotel areas, and you will not fit two of them into one day no matter how early you start.
The difference is geography and mood rather than price. Here is what each day is actually made of.

Full details and bookingUbud: culture and green
Inland and uphill. A Barong dance in the morning, the silver and woodcarving villages of Celuk and Mas, a jungle swing, the Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace, a coffee plantation, and Tegenungan Waterfall to finish. It is the busiest of the three in terms of stops, and the one that involves the most walking.
Book this if it is your first time in Bali and you want the island's culture rather than its coastline.
Tanah Lot: rice terraces and temples
North and west. Jatiluwih's terraced rice fields, the botanical garden up in the cool air at Bedugul, Taman Ayun's moated temple, and Tanah Lot itself on its rock at the end of the day.
This is the longest drive of the three and the most scenic. Book it if you want landscape and temple architecture, and you do not mind time in the car.
Uluwatu: cliffs and beaches
South. Nusa Dua Beach, Padang Padang below its cliff staircase, the Uluwatu temple on the headland, and a Kecak dance performance in the open-air amphitheatre beside it.
The shortest of the three at eight hours and the least driving, since everything sits on the Bukit peninsula. Book it if you want coastline, and if the cliff-edge Kecak performance is the thing you came for.
Questions we get asked
- Can I combine Ubud and Uluwatu in one day?
- Not comfortably. They are at opposite ends of Bali and each tour already runs eight hours or more. Most guests take them on separate days.
- Are entrance fees included in the day tours?
- No. For Ubud, Tanah Lot and Uluwatu the price covers the vehicle, driver, fuel and parking, hotel pickup, water and basic insurance. You pay entrance fees at each site.
- Can I change the stops on a day tour?
- Yes. The itineraries above are what fits well in a day, but stops can be swapped or added on request — tell us in the notes when you book.
