Guide

How much does a Bali day tour cost?

Every price we charge, on one page, per person in rupiah.

A day tour in Bali is usually quoted per person, and the number you are given often leaves out the parts that cost money later — entrance tickets, the boat, lunch. This page lists what we charge and says plainly what each price covers.

Prices below are per person. Use the currency switcher at the bottom left of the page to see the same figures converted, though we invoice in rupiah.

Our other services are not priced per person — a transfer goes by route and vehicle, a scooter by the day, a ticket by the ticket. Prices are on their own pages: Airport Pick Up Service, Bali Bike & Scooter, Boat Ticket to Gili Island and Water Bom E-Ticket.

What moves the price

Three things, mostly. How long the day is: an eight to ten hour tour costs more to run than a two hour activity. Whether a boat is involved: anything that crosses to Nusa Penida carries a return fast boat ticket, which is why those packages sit above a million rupiah while a mainland day tour does not. And how much is bundled: a Nusa Penida day includes entrance tickets and lunch, a chauffeured day tour does not.

That last point is where most quotes in Bali get slippery. A cheap headline price usually means entrance fees are yours to pay at each gate. Look at the included list on a tour page before you compare two numbers.

What is not included

For the chauffeured day tours — Ubud, Tanah Lot and Uluwatu — entrance fees and meals are not included. You pay at the gate and choose where you eat, which usually works out cheaper than a bundled rate and always gives you the choice.

For the Nusa Penida packages, entrance tickets and lunch are included; personal spending is not. For the activities, anything not on the tour's included list is not included.

Questions we get asked

Are Bali Janu Trip prices per person or per group?
Per person. The booking form multiplies by the number of guests and shows the total before you send anything.
Do I pay a deposit to book?
No. We check that your date is free and confirm it with you before any payment is taken.
Which currency do you charge in?
Indonesian rupiah. The site can display prices in US dollars for comparison, but that conversion is indicative — the invoice is in IDR.
