The four things worth knowing before you send a date.
Most of what goes wrong with a tour in Bali goes wrong before the day itself — a pickup point nobody agreed on, a refund policy that only appears after you have paid, a downpour and no plan. None of that is complicated to settle in advance, so here it is in writing.
These terms apply to every tour and activity on this site, and they are the same terms written into our terms of service.

Where we pick you up
Hotel pickup is included in Canggu, Seminyak, Sanur, Nusa Dua and Jimbaran. If you are staying in one of those areas, the price on the tour page is the price you pay — we collect you from your hotel lobby or villa gate and bring you back there.
Staying somewhere else — Ubud, Kuta, Uluwatu, Lovina, anywhere further out — is not a problem, it just costs more in driving time. Tell us the address when you book and we quote the surcharge before you commit to anything. You will never find it added at the end.
For the sunrise tours the pickup is very early, so we confirm the exact time and the exact spot the day before rather than leaving it to the morning.
Private or join-in
Private or join-in, both available, up to 20 people per booking. A private tour is just your group with the driver and the itinerary bent around you. A join-in shares the vehicle with other guests, which costs less and follows a fixed schedule.
Twenty is the working ceiling for one booking. Larger than that and it becomes two vehicles and two drivers — still possible, still one booking, but tell us the real number early so we can hold the second car.
Cancelling and rescheduling
Cancel 7 days or more before your date and you get a full refund. Inside 7 days the booking is non-refundable, because the vehicle, driver and any tickets are already committed.
The seven-day line is not arbitrary. That is roughly when we stop being able to give the slot to someone else, and when boat seats and entrance tickets for the Nusa Penida days get bought.
Moving your date rather than cancelling is easier for everyone. If you ask more than seven days out we will move it for free; inside seven days it depends on what is already booked, so ask and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
What happens if it rains
Rain is the exception to that. If it rains on your date the choice is yours — a full refund or a new date — whichever you prefer, at no charge.
Bali's rain tends to arrive in short heavy bursts rather than settling in for the day, so most tours simply run. It is the ones where weather changes the experience — the Batur trek, rafting, snorkelling off Nusa Penida — where the decision matters, and it stays your decision.
If we are the ones who call it off for safety, the same applies: a new date or a full refund, whichever you want.
Questions we get asked
- Which areas do you pick up from?
- Canggu, Seminyak, Sanur, Nusa Dua and Jimbaran. Pickup from those areas is included in the tour price. Anywhere else carries a surcharge, quoted before you book.
- Can I cancel a Bali tour and get a refund?

- Up to 20. Above that we run a second vehicle, which we can still handle as one booking if you tell us the numbers early.
- Do I have to pay a deposit to reserve a date?
- No. We confirm your date first, and payment happens after that — bank transfer, QRIS, or cash on the day. Only monthly rentals and large groups need a deposit up front.
